Walking with Angels

An Advent Journey of Prayerful Presence

Walk with us this advent

This Advent, take a walk. Pay attention. Pray.

This Advent, Church of the Epiphany is setting out on a journey of prayerful presence.

Through Walking with Angels, we will explore the practice of prayer walking—learning to notice the people, places, and ordinary moments through which God is already present in our lives and our community.

Throughout Advent, you will be invited to walk on your own, with your household, and with others from Epiphany as we practice paying attention to God together.

Walk with us this advent

What if Advent happened in your neighborhood?

During Advent, members of Epiphany will gather for simple prayer walks in neighborhoods throughout our community.

We are looking for people willing to help make those walks possible.

You don’t need to be an expert in prayer. You don’t need to teach a class, prepare a lesson, or have all the answers. We will give you the prayers, prompts, guidance, and practice you need to lead a walk.

You simply provide a place you know and a willingness to welcome others.

Wherever you walk this Advent, begin by paying attention.

Walk your neighborhood. Walk your daily route. Walk with friends from Epiphany.

Notice the people and places around you. Pray for what you encounter. And discover again the God who has already gone ahead of us.

The journey begins November 29.
